DAC Ltd work to the terms and conditions of the CPA (Construction Plant Hire Association) and in accordance with BS7121, The Safe Use of Cranes. DAC Ltd are compliant with GDPR.
Under the terms of a CPA Crane Hire Agreement, the crane and operator are the responsibility of the customer when the crane leaves the public highway to gain access to the site. The customer is accountable and responsible for the planning of the lift, the personnel involved, associated equipment and the supervision of the crane operation. This is undertaken by the Appointed Person who should have knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the lift. The customer is required, under the C PA Model Conditions, to have the following insurance cover: 1. Loss of, or damage to our plant or equipment whilst on site; 2. Loss of, or damage to the goods being lifted; 3. Continuing hire charges whilst the plant is ‘off road’ for damage repairs; 4. Public Liability – injury to operator, injury to other parties, including damage to their property, arising from crane operations. The Crane Owner must supply a competent operator and a crane fit for the intended purpose.
Under the terms of a Standard Contract Lift, the crane, operator and all personnel supplied with our crane are the responsibility of DAC Ltd. We are responsible for all aspects of the planning and execution of the lift and will have the following insurance cover: 1. Loss of, or damage to, plant caused solely by the owner’s negligence whilst performing the lifting contract; 2. Loss or damage to other property caused solely by the owner’s negligence whilst performing the lifting contract. Under Contract Lift Terms and Conditions, the Customer remains responsible for providing accurate information relating to the lift and must have Public Liability Insurance cover. The customer is still responsible to provide suitable access to the site and ground for the crane to rig on.
